| Lawn Care Marketing |
A lot of lawn care business owners focus on maximum growth and that is great, for some business. But as you are growing there are a few thing to think about to gain solid and long term market share. When we are growing our base we must remain in a centralized focused area and build steadily. Yes spending $5000.00 or $1,000,000 on your marketing plan can be great. But where do you focus those funds, and what is your end game?
If your going to put fourth an effort to grow your business you must focus it in a specific area. If we have say a 15 mile radius in which we have more than 50% of our customer base. If there is room to grow depending on the size of your market, the smart move is to focus your efforts in that targeted area. This adds to your route density and your ability to offer a more efficient and quality service. This will also allow for a more direct and targeted marketing effort.
How can marketing to a direct area be easier than targeting a vast area?
When you are targeting a vast area you are spread more thin with less effective marketing. You have more people and more money to spend, and to be honest growing too quick can lead to complete failure if you cannot provide quality service. Growing on a smaller base can be much more intelligent.
How do I optimize my local marketing?
1.) Write a business plan. Pick the areas in which you would like to increase your base. Set yourself some goals and what it will take to get you there.
(Be sure to focus on blogging, and use long tail key words in your blogs. Also be sure to focus on educational materials and content marketing as well. Build onto your opt in email list. This will be an essential tool in your efforts.)
2.) Evaluate your online marketing and website. Ensure you are optimized correctly and that a prospective client can use it easily,
(Be sure to focus site design and layouts responsiveness. Also be sure SEO is up to par, and that your team is able to modify this when necessary. Also be sure to check your reviews, and fill out all online profiles and maintain them. Such as Google +, Yellow Pages, Facebook, Twitter Etc.)
3.) Plan your marketing efforts including online, paper, and calling plans. Be sure you have these plans in place and that your efforts are not all in one basket.
(Be sure to focus on your online marketing ad's and where they are placed. Things like Google Ad-words are easy to learn and work with to aim at your goals. You can also use sites like Home Advisor, Thumbtack, Porch, and other sites. )
4.) Prepare and be sure to meet your deadlines this will help lead you to success. If you meet the time lines you have set for yourself and your goals, not only will you have set yourself a standard, but also that you have met your goals.
(Be sure to focus on any goals you have in place. It is highly important that you focus on goals and timelines. )
If you follow these steps while continuing to provide a quality service your customer base will grow and you will be on the path to success.
