There is a huge need for content marketing in the lawn care industry today. With a $63 billion dollar market, it is ginormous. If you are lost on what to do with your lawn care marketing and you seem to always be losing more and more money, relax it is ok I have a solution. If you simply invest smarter and not harder you save a ton of money. One of my favorite tricks is to audit the marketing campaigns and redesign them to fit my needs. A lot of times lawn care companies are focused on all of the least profitable streams never leaving old ways even if the cost is up 20% or 30%. If you change that mindset your business will get a lot farther.
Secondly, you take a real look at what is you one key to other streams of revenue, It should be lawn care packages. If your building solely on upsells you will eventually see a decrease in overall customers that could become an issue over time. Develop a marketing plan including your customers, but rather than just bombard them with up sell's attempt to use them as tools in your marketing plan. You should market a referral bonus and ensure your customer has heard of it 3 times. Three touches will help to ensure an optimal response rate and new customers and revenue.
Once you have that up and running it is time to build on social media. More often than not you will come across 1000's of employees for hire, or even marketing firms looking to gain accounts. Both can provide ok results, but I would suggest thinking how you wish to handle this. You are more likely to be successful if you avoid both options and do it yourself, or hire a consultant or contractor. You can place stipulations you can both agree on new sales and marketing goals.
But with content marketing becoming key in the success of your business and marketing, you have to step into the online world with a mission, plan, and method. If you can do this properly you can increase your revenue, lead stream and overall success! From quality PPC campaigns to quality social media campaigns and even banner ad's today's work is simple ( Content + Quality + Contacts = conversions).
