Well as a social media nut about 8 years ago the very question I will answer for you now was on my mind in a crazy way. I was 20 years old and I had just taken over as a sales and marketing manager for a local printing shop in my hometown of Joliet, IL. I wanted to become a super blogger, it literally became a goal. To do so I had to build a facebook following. How I wondered? Well I started believe it or not with mentors like John Chow and a few others. I began to learn about algorithms and useful content. As I learned I also learned about not over doing, and personalizing content. No almost 8 years later I have developed over 3000 facebook pages, and gained a total of 29 Million likes for myself, business, bands, rappers, and politicians.
As I began developing these pages I had suddenly stumbled upon something that worked consistently in ever seniro I had been presented with. If I used the plan I am giving you below and continue this for a long period of time you will succeed!
1. Pick a consistent amount of times a week to post, and what you are going to post as well. Be sure you have a plan. You not getting more business,fans, or votes from being basic and not giving a damn. You are only hurting yourself. If you put thought and care into the content you create. Develop a pattern and keep up with it. I do Monday fun day at 2:00pm I post a funny fact. Wednesday I post a how to video and blog on a topic for business, or a personal video for bands and politicians at 4 pm. When Friday comes I post a contest every week giving something away!
2. Develop a report with your followers. Comment back, thank them for their likes on post. Conversate, and even email them a Christmas card. Believe it or not you cannot succeed without conversating. You must conversate to win online.
3. Set a persona for your goal target. Most successful online profiles target a persona. You have to know who you are targeting and why. find your target market, If you a coupon site you want to gain mom's between 29 - 65 who have a housheld income of $200,000 or less and are frequent bargin shoppers. This will help you to target who you are creating your content for. Then think like that person as you view the content you create.
If you maintain these three steps and pay attention to your analytics you should be successful at reaching likes in as little as 6 months!
