Building
a web based company. Branding, a business is never easy. A lot of people expect
to get rich quick. They automatically assume that success is simple. That is
not the case. Sucess is not simple. It's very hard. Putting your mind to work
to creat a very good business plan, and then exicuting that plan to build a
power house is not easy. Putting your plan together Is essential. Reaching your
target goal is not an easy task. Its very hard.
A lot of people build websites, very few suceed.
Thought we have a lot of
knoledge when it comes to all sorts of websites, and web development, this book
is for beginners and people whom cant seem to attract the viewers they wish to
reach. If this is you we will teach you how to reach your goals with hard work
and swift planning. If you follow my guidelines and have a real passion you
should succeed. If not there is no reason to do so to begin with. I personally
have created many blogs and sites from political candidates, to
business,bands,and clubs. I have generated over millions of views since 2010.
As a father,
husband, and house hold provider I find it of the up most importance that my
web based business reach as many people as humanly possible. Without doing this
I would be un successful and my business would have no fiscal value to me. So
in this book I will lead you throught what I have learned with trial and error.
Each step leads you to another eye
opening revelation. I hope you use the tips and methods I provide and become
more sucessful than I myself have!
Chapter 1 : The basic set up Plan
Your basic
set up is everything when it comes to a web based business. Each step will help
you to map out and plan your road to success. Get a pen and paper and sit down.
I suggest you write a very detailed but unconventional plan. I usually start at
the top of my sheet with a paragraph about what my goal is. No this is not
common business practice but it allows me to see what I am reaching for and to
go for it. Without a goal you mission is almost never sucessful. With a goal
you will work almost 70% harder as long
as you stick to your path. Once you have your goal, sit back open up your mind
and think. First what is your target market. Who do you want to read what your
putting out, or buy the products your selling? Who is your target market? Are
you blogging about scene music? Your market might be teenage kids Male and
female from 14 – 22. Or are your selling a natural pain supplement for bad
knees? Then your market may be males and females from 30 – 90 whom have knee
pain. Finding your target market allows you to know who you are aiming at with
your product or blog. Once you have the who down the rest comes easire. After
picking your target market, look at your competetion.
What are your
competetiors offering? What makes you alike and what sets you apart? What can
you do that no other business in the market can do. Do you have a taco salad
mix with a special ingredient that is not common? Then you have a one up on
your cometetion. Or do you have a blog that gets inside and does interviews, or
storys others cant? That could be the set apart faction you may need. Once you
know what sets you apart you will know your streingth upon entering the playing
field. These factions could be a huge
gain for you if played right.
Then moving on
to the next line give yourself a budget. How much do you want to spend to
create this web based company. Set yourself a budget and ensure you set money
aside for hosting, a domain, and marketing. This may also include any products
and promotional products you may need. This is an essential step. As people we
often do not have a lot of money to start. So as a way to better budget our
finances I always, and I mean always set up a budget. This budget will be your
wall of protection, as well as a start up fund for your online marketing
andmarketing in general.
Once your
marketing budget is set, ensure you have set goals. These goals should include
your first three months view goals. Also in these numbers add in your goal
earings. This will add structure to your business as well give you an outline
to meet your goal's. Once you have your budget and your goals you can use this
as a basics to build your goal platfourm.
As we move into
the financial realm of the business plan you need and outline written, showing
where you will bank, who will manage your funds and so on. Having structure for
your money and using it smart is everything. You must be very tight with your
funds and ensure where your spending your money is worth it. Not saying you
should not spend money. Instead stating do your HOMEWORK. Money is hard to come
by now day's. Take extra steps to ensure
your funds are keept in place s that build you and your business.
The next step
your main agenda. What is your business about. Most business plans put this
step as number one. I perfer to make it my last step. I just tend to knock out
my mission in the middle of my plan because for me it's the part I enjoy the
most. Your agenda, or mission is what you are about. If your a music based
website that sells shirts to help promote local bands, then your mission may be
to sell more shirts than any other online
shirt shop. This could be your pland and goal and what your aiming for.
Something like establishing the most promenint online shirt shop over 5 years.
Then explain exactly what you will do to get to that point. This is great if
you at any time plan to reach out for additional funding, or extra recources.
No lender will give you funding without a planned path of what you wish to do
with the funding. Call it as you wish a
fiscal plan, a financial outline, or a budget. I call it an agenda. I use this
to get my point across. In this section I want potential partners or lenders to
feel exactly what it is that I do, and also that I want them involved.
Hopefullly this will be the message you need to make you sale. As you as a
person must sell yourself.
A chain of
command is next. Or better known as a company structure. You must outline your
leadership. This will be a line of employes, and owners and which positions
they hold. Often companys structure out from different branches. Some of these
being hr,managment,sales,marketing,billing,etc. As a web based company owner
this structure can be a bit different.. Depending what type of business you are
in your goal and fucus can be all over the spectrum. Web based business being
far different from most. They are a whole different machien so ensure you base
your leadership roles with sucessful people from web beacgrounds.
Begining Building Chapter 2
First and for
most when building your web based business is set up and platfourm. Each platfourm offering different options,
from $300.00 - $3,000,000 dollars. This all depends on what you as a business
owner need. If you are are building a small store to sell basic items, you may
only need a basic website set up.
Once you have
established you website platfourm, or your place of business. You now have time
to get a few majors parts together!
These next few items will be nesissitys if you wish to be sucessful. One
is look and design of your website or web store, content, Key words, product
pricing, quality, and curve.
Once you have
picked a platfourm, and have your base plan down, begin coming up with a
concept. You want to ensure your website entails our brad and allows others to
know who you are. Branding is key. By brandong yourself you are settting your
web business apart from others and standing up, saying we are different. Here
is where you look for a way to set yourself apart from others, and make
yourself the best.
