Door knocking first of all is very time consuming. Secondly it comes to the fact that more than likely people don't want your stuff on their door anyway. So how do we beat this stigma of door to door? We make it fun and strategic. When planning to knock door keep a word document of each house you hit, if your knocking, mark the responses you get in a collective data document. As your data builds up so will your target home base. This base would be the homes that seemed most receptive to your product. This group is more likely to accept your product and open you up to future market.

         
           When door knocking, always have fun with it. Don't allow negative responses to control your attitude. When you get 10 negative responses you will usually have one positive! So as your hitting the ground running just be prepared to get NO'S. We all hate them but they are out there.  No's do exist. As I often do, knocking a door and asking simply hi, how are you today is a huge opener. Try to keep these ideas in mind and you just may have quite a bit more success!!
